Hard stock tickets will sell as Special Delivery under the following conditions:

  • If the in-hand date is set as the same day as the event.
  • If the in-hand date set does not allow enough time for UPS shipping (regardless of when the event will take place). For example, if an event takes place on a Sunday and the in-hand date is on Saturday, the listing will sell as Special Delivery since it is not possible for tickets to arrive in time for the event if they ship on Saturday.
  • An external disclosure was included in the listing that has trigger words such as will call, email, Flash Seats, or paperless. This will occur even if the notation states "Tickets cannot be emailed" or "No will call".
  • If the order is placed after the UPS cut-off time (4PM CST) for an upcoming event. For example, if an order is placed at 8pm CST on a Friday for an event taking place on Sunday, UPS assumes that the package will not be shipped until the next day. Therefore, not arriving in time for the event on Sunday.
  • If the location of the seller and the customer will not allow for the package to arrive in time for the event. For example, if an order is placed the day before the event with a seller in the United States and the customer is in Canada.

If the order in question came through as Special Delivery as a result of the first three reasons, please select "Hard Stock Tickets - Can Ship" in the Vivid Seats Broker Portal from the list of Special Delivery options. For any of the other reasons, please utilize the Live Chat function to contact Seller Services immediately so that they may assist in resolving the issue.

Sellers must be mindful of the in-hand dates that are set to avoid potential complications. It is the responsibility of the seller to de-list any inventory that they cannot deliver to a customer in time for the event.
